Fear by Astha Saxena & Nico Hsu Wandering outside of the unknown barricaded by the doubts fear It is Lingering inside of your own mind imprisoned by the will fear of fear That is Lights off, in silence It takes the form of screaming faces contorted, wincing hopeless, broken Staring at you in a menacing stance Your skin burns and your heart races You try to think yourself away But there is no escaping the grip of their trembling hands They have nowhere to go, no clocks to chase You can try to shut them out of your dreams But they will squirm in They will find a way, they always do You find yourself sometimes having your limbs cut off While you lay conscious through every incision Sometimes you find them running after you And you keep going, Legs jittery Breaths pumping Vision blurring Every time you turn around, they are still there A chokehold, with cold, stiff hands They seep through your skin and haunt you With trauma imagined, horrors unspeakable But ah, that’s their weakness Turn around and stare at them Stare into their lifeless, penetrating glare And you’ll recognize their faces, their distorted figures They are familiar They are you This is a collaboration project between my friend Astha and I. The series don't really have any direction as for now. If you'd like to do any sort of collaboration with me on this blog please don't hesitate to contact me!

Ink By Daniel Padilla She had so much to say to him, but she had always been afraid to. That night, she was determined to finally write it all. She sat at her desk. She grabbed a piece of paper and her fountain pen and she was ready. But as soon as she wrote the first few words on the paper, her anxiety struck again. Her hand began to shake and sweat. Her thoughts began to blur. She was forgetting what she meant to tell him. She attempted to write a few more words. She put her pen down against the paper one more time. It had run out of ink. She reached out for the ink jar, but in her panic, she dropped in onto the floor. It broke and the ink splattered everywhere. Her heart sank and she was about to give up. But then she started remembering. She remembered everything, everything he had done to make her think ill thoughts of herself and of the world. She remembered it all. Her determination suddenly came back to her. To make up for the lack of ink, she decided to slash her wrists open and use her blood. She found a blade from an old razor. She put her left arm on her desk and did not hesitate to insert the blade into her wrist and cut transversely through it. Blood started oozing out, and she brought her fountain pen closer to the wound. But as she was about to refill her pen, she noticed that her blood was making its own way to the paper she meant to write on. Her blood started to make shapes on the paper, which then turned into letters, and finally into words. Her blood had taken the responsibility of putting on paper all the truth that she had not been able to for all these years, the truth that she had kept to herself in the darkest depths of her heart. The blood continued to ooze, continued to write. Pints and pints of that thick, dark red liquid emanated from her wrist, until the letter had finally been completed. Without tending to her wound, she put the letter in an envelope, licked the top flap and sealed it closed. This is a collaboration project between my Honduran homie Daniel Padilla and I. The idea is for him to practice more writing and for me to practice digital art. The series don't really have any direction as for now. AboutThis blog was launched in August, 2015 during my 8th year of studying abroad in Barcelona, Spain. I decided to start this blog and record some of my thoughts and moments. This blog is also dedicate to Richard Fu, a good friend of mine who is now guarding me from above. He inspired me to get out of the comfort zone and be curious about the world. Amig@'s blogs
