"The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education." -Martin Luther King, Jr. The action-packed final weeks -including class field trip, history exam, structure exam, capstone studio, and graduate school applications-challenged everyone's time management and stress handling skills. Everyone had different ways to handle stress, I signed up for the gym at Mirasol so I could take a few breaks in between works. Final Review I think I achieved most of the goals I listed after the midterm for the final review. I improved the relationship between the circulation and program. I also refined the main entrance of the hotel that can encourage movement and visual connection. Having Eli Synnevåg, one of the senior designers from the Firm Snøhetta, as the reviewer was a very special experience. The way she reviewed our projects with multiple approaches and different scopes was inspiring and helpful. Education I had a discussion with Drew and Jason about education the day before the structure final exam. We think that the school in general should not focus on the teaching of knowledge, but educate student the way of thinking. This generation of kids are so good at finding answers with all the technology at hand, the only thing they should learn is to ask the right question. School should promote a high lever of thinking, instead of repeating the learning pattern to restrict student's minds. Conclusion
It's a bumpy yet amazing semester! I've overcome lots of challenges both emotionally and physically. I will have friends and family visit me next semester so I get to explore Barcelona even more. I am looking forward to the group project workshop and the spring semester design studio. The goal is to have a even more diverse study abroad experience and enjoy the rest of the year.

AboutThis blog was launched in August, 2015 during my 8th year of studying abroad in Barcelona, Spain. I decided to start this blog and record some of my thoughts and moments. This blog is also dedicate to Richard Fu, a good friend of mine who is now guarding me from above. He inspired me to get out of the comfort zone and be curious about the world. Amig@'s blogs
